Accreditation
Accreditation Through CARF
Headwaters’ facility is accredited through CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). CARF’s mission is to “promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served.”
Headwaters holds the Three-Year CARF Accreditation for the following:
- Detoxification/Withdrawal Support: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
- Residential Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
- Day Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
- Community Housing: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
Certification Through ASAM
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) is the Nation’s leading addiction medicine society representing over 6,000 physicians, clinicians, and other addiction treatment professionals. Certification through ASAM recognizes programs that demonstrate the capacity to deliver evidence-based services consistent with established national guidelines for levels of care. Headwaters was honored to be chosen for one of the first certification processes, which was independently and comprehensively assessed by CARF International. The designation as ASAM level 3.7 ensures that Headwaters offers residential treatment services that offer a full range of care for addiction and co-occurring conditions in a 24-hour setting.
